Set in a corner building with a neo- classical columned façade, the chic Art Deco-influenced Banks Mansion Hotel opened in 2004 and overlooks the Herengracht canal, one kilometre south of Amsterdam's Centraal Station. The nearest airport is Amsterdam Schiphol Aurport, 20 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Adjacent to a typical Amsterdam canal bridge, guests enter this previous bank building through a corner entrance. Inside, the sophisticated 1920s-style lobby features leaded stained glass, rich wood panelling, and Art Deco motifs. Clusters of wood-framed armchairs and sofas accommodate a mixture of weekday business and weekend leisure guests, who relax by the fireplace while the enjoying canal views. Those needing to catch up with work can make us of the complimentary Internet corner with two PCs; wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel.

fiogf49gjkf0d There is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes and take 10-15 minutes. A taxi from the station to the hotel should cost EUR 10-12. Taxis are also available from outside the arrivals hall and cost in the region of EUR 50 to the hotel. Every 10 minutes between 6 AM and 9 PM the Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle bus leaves from platform A7, situated just outside Arrivals hall and stops in front of Banks Mansion. Tickets are available on the bus and at the hotel reception desk (EUR 12 one way).
