The Barcelo Hotel Comfort Varadero is a low-rise modern hotel complex set over 21,000 square metres, 700 metres from La Arena beach in the southwest of the island of Tenerife and next to the Los Gigantes cliffs. Rooms and apartments have simple decor, with patterned upholstery and tiled floors, and balconies with views over the swimming pool. Further amenities include kitchenettes and eating areas and cable television.
Apart from offering a complete day-to-night entertainment program, guests can book into organized outings to local attractions. The spa facilities include a jetted tub, solarium, sauna and gym, and the buffet restaurant serves international dishes for breakfast and dinner. There's plenty to do in the complex, with a trio of adult swimming pools and a children's swimming pool, two tennis courts, archery, rifle shooting and two pétanque courses. Driving Directions

Taxis are available outside Arrivals and charge around €50 to Santa Cruz de Tenerife or around €20 to Playa de las Américas. Buses leave regularly from the airport to the central bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife at La Avenida Marítima, North Tenerife Airport (for inter- island flights), Los Cristianos and other destinations on the island. Taxis on the island are relatively cheap, and there is also a bus network that services most of the main site of interest. There is a bus stop 20 metres from the hotel.
