The Palace - A Boscolo First Class Hotel in Rome was designed in the 1920s by architect Marcello Piacentini, and is located on Via Veneto in the city center. The octagon-shaped stucco ceiling, lacquered banquet table and ornate marble lobby make a beautiful entrance at this historic hotel. High- society women twirl their pearls and furs in the 1920s frescos, designed by Cadorin, the Jazz Age artist who took 20 years to complete the floor- to-ceiling panels and drew inspiration from sketching visitors who partied at the hotel between 1900 and 1920. Guests can also stroll to nearby Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Borghese Gallery.
The Palace - A Boscolo features the Dibi Center Spa, which offers an indoor pool, spa tub and aromatherapy massages.
Shiatsu, hot-stone and crystal-point therapies, along with manicures and pedicures, are also available.
Roman and regional Italian cuisine is served at Terrazza Cadorin, the on-site restaurant decorated with classical stucco friezes, mirrored panels and a yellow marble floor. Natural light filters through the original 1920s stained glass ceiling and onto the stylish leather weave and wrought-iron furniture. The specialty of the house is ravioli with ricotta and Taggiasca olives. The antique- clad Cadorin Lounge offers the perfect place for cocktail relaxation and is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the U.S. Embassy in Rome.
The Palace - A Boscolo First Class Hotel, Rome keeps 94 charming guestrooms, all with high ceilings and furnished with antique chairs, marble-topped desks and Italian linens, all reminiscent of Imperial Rome. Accommodations feature cable television, in-room safes and Internet access. Bathrooms are lined with miniature green tiles or white marble and feature designer toiletries, bathrobes, telephones and either jetted tubs or showers.
