Hotel Features. Sheer luxury and distinctive Disney amenities await at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Constructed as a tribute to California's turn-of-the-20th century Arts & Crafts movement, this hotel resembles a grand national park lodge. The resort's expansive outdoor pool area features the Fountain Pool (a lap pool), the Mickey Mouse Pool and the Redwood Pool; a children's pool with an undulating, 100-foot-long redwood slide. There are two spa tubs, a seasonal pool bar, and a hydraulic lift that assists disabled guests into the spa tubs and pool. The resort's fitness center offers massage services and separate sauna and steam facilities for women and men. A licensed childcare center is on site, and breakfasts at one of the hotel's restaurants features appearances by Disney's Chip 'n' Dale characters. Dinners are served at Napa Rose, the hotel's upscale restaurant, or families may feast on their favorite American fare at Storyteller's Café. White Water Snacks is a quick- service pavilion that offers sandwiches, pizzas and desserts throughout the day.
Guestroom Features. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel features 745 non-smoking guestrooms with wood furnishings, carved headboards and leaded-glass lights. Minibars are housed in wooden armoires and bathrooms have illuminated make- up mirrors.
Expert Tip. Guests avoid entrance crowds by using their room keys to access a private turnstile into Disney's California Adventure park, located between the Napa Rose restaurant and Grizzly Game Arcade.
