Description: Location. The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is a Florida-theme resort located one mile from Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, Fla. The resort is within 10 miles of Universal Studios, Orange County Convention Center and shopping at Pointe Orland.
Hotel Features. The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center encases an almost five-acre atrium that contains smaller versions of Florida attractions like Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth and the Everglades. A wharf features a 60-foot sailboat. Dining options range from casual to haute cuisine including the Old Hickory Steakhouse, Villa de Flora, Java Coast and a Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Shop.
A business center provides high-speed Internet access for a fee and the adjoining convention center boasts 400,000 square feet of meeting space. An on-site health club and spa includes cardio equipment, wet and dry saunas and personal trainers while providing 25 treatment rooms.

Expert Tip. Observe an alligator feeding in the resort's atrium at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. Animal care specialists allow guests to take pictures with the alligator at 6:15 p.m.
