The family-run Hotel Carlton and Grand Canal is located in Venice, Italy, in the Santa Croce quarter on the Grand Canal promenade, 50 metres from the waterbus stop and 250 metres from the Jewish Ghetto. Rialto Bridge is 15 minutes away by waterbus, and St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace are a 20-minute ride away. Piazzale Roma, Venice's main entry point, is within 250 metres. Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is 13 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The four-storey Hotel Carlton and Grand Canal has a terracotta facade with 100 windows. This renovated, 18th-century palazzo is lit up at night. Multilingual concierge and 24-hour front desk staff provide guests with advice and sightseeing tips.
Leaded-glass windows, 18th-century Venetian chairs with silver trims, and rich fabrics decorate the Bar Carlton Café which overlooks the Grand Canal promenade. Coffees, cocktails and snacks are served on the outdoor terrace during warmer months. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are served.

fiogf49gjkf0d From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Distance to Hotel Carlton and Grand Canal is 13 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. ATVO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the city centre, 250 metres from the hotel. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets cost 3 EUR. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. The number 15 bus runs between the airport and Venice-Mestre train station. At Piazzale Roma, water buses (vaporetto) are available. A free bus service links the airport terminal to the airport jetty; from here, regular Alilaguna boats leave for the city. Single tickets cost 10 EUR. Private water taxis are available, but are typically very expensive. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The hotel is on Sestiere Di Santa Croce. Venice is best explored on foot or by public water buses (vaporetto). From the hotel, guests can cross the bridge over the Grand Canal 50 metres away to catch water buses. The Rialto Bridge is 15 minutes away and St Mark's Square is 25 minutes. Three-day passes for the public water bus cost 25 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Water buses also connect Venice to the lagoon's islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello and the Lido. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers can leave their cars at public car parks in Piazzale Roma or in a garage in nearby Tronchetto.
