Description:

Location. Originally built to house the Daells Verhus department store in 1928, this stylish design hotel opened in 2003 and lies in Copenhagen's medieval district, opposite the grand Skt Petri Kirke, and 12 kilometres from Copenhagen Kastrup Airport.
Hotel Features. Escalators take guests into the minimalist-style lobby where well-heeled young artists and musicians mingle with tourists and business guests. At weekends, Bar Rouge comes to life with resident DJs playing lounge and jazz music through large white speakers until late. Guests can recline on sofas with a choice of over 30 cocktails, or take to the dancefloor with hotel guests and locals.

Underneath Bar Rouge, Café Blanc is a tranquil space to enjoy a coffee and browse the morning papers before heading to the fitness room, which opens onto a terrace where guests can work out in summer. Guests of the Hotel Skt Petri can also dine on East-West fusion dishes in the chic surroundings of Bleu, accompanied by wines displayed in tall Perspex cabinets. This lobby restaurant also opens onto a courtyard in summer.

Guestrooms. The seven-floor Hotel Skt Petri has 268 rooms, decorated in the hotel's signature red, blue and white, and designed by Danish designer Per Arnoldi. All rooms are air-conditioned and include high-speed Internet ports, satellite television, minibars, laptop-sized safes, slippers, armchairs, and cuboid lamps which double as bedside tables. White tiled bathrooms come with bathrobes and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries.

Expert Tip. In the narrow streets around the University directly opposite the hotel guests will find a variety of fashionable second-hand stores, antiquarian bookshops, and handicraft and antique shops. Adjoining the hotel, Scandinavian furniture store R.O.O.M sells a wide range of trendy minimalist, modernist and futuristic designs for the home.

Driving Directions

Taxis are readily available outside Terminal 4 and will cost around 250 DKK to Hotel Skt Petri. Bus no.30 runs from the airport to the city centre and trains run every 10 minutes to Central Station, which is one kilometre from the hotel. The nearest Metro station to the hotel is Norreport, 200 metres away.
Driving directions: From the airport take the main road E20 towards Copenhagen Centrum. Follow signs for Tivoli, then for Skt Petri Kirke.
