Hyatt Regency guests are also drawn to the resort's third-level terrace, which spans nearly an entire block and overlooks the beach. On one end of the terrace is a good-sized pool surrounded by padded lounge chairs and shade umbrellas. (An attendant periodically passes out chilled towels.) In the terrace's center, the Elegant Dive serves tropical drinks between two elevated hot tubs that remain open late at night for convivial soaking beneath tiki-torch flames. In front of the bar, wooden rocking chairs overlook the pulsating action on Waikiki's main street, Kalakaua Avenue.
