Location.Hotel Axel is located in a handsome townhouse from the beginning of the 20th-century, set in the centre of the lively city of Copenhagen. The Tivoli Gardens are 300 metres from the hotel, and Christiansborg Palace is one kilometre away. Copenhagen Kastrup Airport is 15 kilometres distance, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features. Multilingual staff at the front desk can offer currency exchange, concierge services and the use of a safe-deposit box, while complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby and public areas have high-speed Internet connections. A buffet breakfast is served each morning in the bright breakfast room, and the hotel also has its own bar.
Guestrooms. The 125 guestrooms, over seven floors, feature French colonial-style decor in teak, stone, bamboo and with Persian rugs. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, desks, direct-dial phones and Guldsmeden's own range of organic skincare products. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available on request.
