Hotel Features. Built for the 1928 Olympics, the Italian-style Jolly Hotel Carlton has a two-storey lobby with a Murano glass chandelier. Guests can drink coffee and browse complimentary newspapers. Staff at the 24-hour front desk staff can help with sightseeing trips to local attractions like the Anne Frank house and Van Gogh Museum.
The hotel's Il Girasole pizzeria serves pizza, pasta and buffet dinners in a traditional Italian dining room. Lit by a Murano chandelier and decorated in rich terracotta, the restaurant has views of the flower market. Seasonal Italian cuisine and an excellent wine list are on offer in the Ristorante Caruso, with baroque arched windows offering city views.

fiogf49gjkf0d From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Distance to Jolly Hotel Carlton is 20 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive. Getting there. A railway station is located under Schiphol Plaza, in the central hall of the terminal. Every 15 minutes a direct train runs to Amsterdam Central Station. Shared Schiphol Travel taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall. The cars can seat up to eight people and cost around 19 EUR per person. Private taxis into Amsterdam city centre cost approximately 40 EUR. Public buses frequently run to Amsterdam and other destinations. Buses 197 and 370 go to central Amsterdam and Amsterdam Zuid. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The hotel is on Vijzelstraat, in the city centre, opposite the floating flower market. Amsterdam can easily be explored by foot. However, there are convenient bus, tram and metro services running through the city and outside areas. Cycling is also a popular way to see Amsterdam. There are taxi ranks at the central station. Driving within the canal ring is discouraged. The hotel offers its own car park (surcharge). |
