Location. The beachfront Blue Palace Resort and Spa is located three kilometres from Elounda village, on the island of Crete, Greece. The hotel is opposite Spinalonga Island, with its Venetian fortress built in 1579. Agios Nikolaos is 12 kilometres away.

The Blue Palace Resort and Spa's Blue Door taverna serves Greek salads and fresh fish right on the water's edge. Olea, a contemporary olive-themed restaurant, provides international dinner buffets and American breakfast buffets on an informal terrace with sea views. In L'Orangerie's terracotta veranda, local Mediterranean dishes are prepared with Cretan olive oil. Dark wood contrasts with light walls in the contemporary Asia Blue restaurant, with sea views. Driving Directions

From Heraklion Airport (HER):
Distance to Blue Palace Resort and Spa is 78 kilometres, approximately 70 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis wait in front of the airport terminal building and the fare to the hotel should be negotiated prior to travelling. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The hotel is three kilometres from Elounda village. Buses are inexpensive and depart frequently for destinations throughout the island. Crete's bus company KTEL connects to the larger cities and more remote areas. Many of the villages can be accessed by boat taxis and small ferries. However, Crete is best explored by car. The hotel offers complimentary parking.

Driving directions. From Heraklion Airport:
Follow signs for Agios Nikolaos.
Turn left at the first set of traffic lights.
Turn left in the direction of Elounda.
The road has a series of bends. Continue for about 10 kilometres.
At Elounda's clock tower, turn right.
Follow signs for 'Plaka - Blue Palace'.
Drive for about three kilometres until you see the hotel.
