fiogf49gjkf0d Location. Le Mirador Kempinski is a traditional Alpine hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva enjoying uninterrupted views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The market town of Vevey is eight kilometres away, while Geneva city centre and Geneva Airport (GVA) are 90 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The fitness area at the Le Mirador Kempinski incorporates the GIVENCHY Spa and its 11 massage and treatment rooms. An indoor pool (with hot tub) are joined by no less than 28 state-of-the-art exercise machines, and separate men's and women's wet lounges each with sauna, Hamman and relaxation lounge. The hotel has its own café, gift shop, library and hair salon. Practical amenities include laundry facilities, 24-hour room service and complimentary parking.
Le Mirador Kempinski offers three restaurants: Le Patio offers fresh Mediterranean cuisine with a large terrace and panoramic views across Lake Geneva; Le Trianon offers fine dining in a room with rich red and gold striped fabrics and polished brass, wood and glass features. The à la carte menu offers a selection of fine Mediterranean dishes and there is an extensive wine list; Au Chalet is a traditional pine-clad restaurant serving Swiss specialities including Fondue and Raclette.
The hotel specialises in Nordic walking, an especially appealing pastime given the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Guestrooms. The 74 guestrooms are individually decorated and include air conditioning, cable television with pay movies, CD players, direct-dial phones, clock radios with iPod docks, high-speed Internet access (surcharge), minibars and safes. Marble bathrooms have bathrobes and slippers, scales, hair dryers and makeup mirrors.
Expert Tip. Montreux is home to Switzerland's most visited historic building, Chateau de Chillon, an imposing fortress overlooking the lake, made famous by a Lord Byron poem.
