fiogf49gjkf0d Location. Fairmot Le Montreux Palace is located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Montreux, Switzerland. On Montreux's famous lakeside boulevard, the hotel is just one block from the Auditorium Stravinsky and a kilometre from the casino. Montreux train station is a two-minute walk from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace is known as the Pearl of the Swiss Rivieria. Built in 1906 in a mix of architectural styles, it features a lobby with a marble floor, chandeliers and a sweeping stairway.
The flagship Jaan restaurant serves French cuisine with Oriental touches. Dishes include roast Vendee pigeon with parsley polenta and cumin sauce. Breakfast is served in the palm-lined La Palmeraie, with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic lake views. La Brasserie du Palace offers Swiss classics and bistro fare in a sunlit dining room, while La Terrasse du Petit Palais serves fresh fish, meat and salads on a flower-filled terrace.
The hotel has banqueting and meeting halls for up to 1200 people. The Grand Hall boasts chandeliers, mahogany furniture and ornate Baroque architecture. Meetings can also be held the lakeside La Coupole. Wireless Internet access is available in all public areas.
Guests can swim in the hotel's indoor and outdoor pools or relax in the onsite Asian-inspired Amrita Wellness Centre. There's a sunlit gym, a sauna and steam room, and 10 treatment rooms offering shiatsu and other massages.
Guestrooms. Decorated in Belle Epoque style, the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace's 146 climate-controlled guestrooms feature deep red carpets and dark wood furnishings. All rooms offer wireless Internet access (surcharge), minibars, satellite television and remote lighting. Marble bathrooms offer baths, bathrobes and slippers. Most rooms offer balconies with lake views.
Expert Tip. The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace attracts many of the performers at the Montreux Jazz festival, held every July.
