fiogf49gjkf0d Nestling among seven hectares of oak and pine forest on the sloping shores of the island of Ischia, the Mezzatorre Hotel and Spa Resort consists of a cluster of buildings centred around a 16th century tower with sea views. Some located in buildings tucked away in the hotel's private parkland and others in the tower itself, the 59 air-conditioned guestrooms feature contemporary decor in rich, warm colours. All have balconies or terraces as well as direct-dial phones, satellite television, minibars and Internet connections.
Guests can bathe in the heated seawater pool while taking in views of the ocean and surrounding parkland and relax on terraces with a drink or cocktail from the poolside bar. A short path leads directly from the hotel grounds to the secluded bay, where guests can swim, sunbathe and take part in a variety of water sports. The hotel spa offers a wide range of thermal water and mud treatments and incorporates three indoor pools, a steam room and massage and beauty treatment rooms among its many facilities. Guests will also find a tennis court, a jogging track and a helicopter pad in the hotel's wooded grounds. The hotel's has two restaurants, one next to the tower and the other overlooking the sea. Lighter meals and snacks are available at the poolside restaurant and guests can enjoy drinks and music under the stars on summer nights at the terrace bar. A free shuttle service links the hotel to the nearby village of Lacco Ameno, while sightseeing excursions organised by the hotel include motorboat tours and visits to Naples, Capri and the Amalfi coast. The hotel is three kilometres from the village of Forio and six from Ischia's port. Naples airport is 40 kilometres and about a 90 minute journey away. Buses run from the airport to Naples train station and the port (Piazza Municipio) and also to Sorrento. Taxis are also available from the airport. From the port, hydrofoils and ferries connect to the island of Ischia. The hotel can arrange private limousine transfers from the airport to the ferry port and from the port on Ischia to the hotel.
