Hotel Misión Querétaro Juriquilla is located 15 kilometers from historic downtown Querétaro in central Mexico. Querétaro, the capital of Querétaro state, is famous for its 18th century aqueduct and numerous colonial landmarks. The aqueduct has gained national recognition as the symbol of the city. Built of local sandstone, its highest arch soars 75 feet above current- day street level. The aqueduct was put into service in 1738, furnishing water to the convents and filling the public fountains. Guests will surely want to visit the Plaza de la Independencia, known locally as Plaza de los Perros in honor of the four stone dogs that flank the central fountain. Outdoor cafes line the perimeter of the plaza and wide walkways lead from the plaza to the main streets of downtown Querétaro.
