Getting there. The Violet line (E) on Porto's Metro system runs from the airport to the city centre, and single tickets cost 1.35 EUR. The station at the airport is in front of arrivals. Buses depart for the city centre every 20-30 minutes. Taxis to central Porto cost about 15 EUR-20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Porto's modern, efficient metro system runs between 6 a.m. and midnight. The nearest metro stop to the Pestana Porto Hotel is Sao Bento. Trams and buses are available throughout the city, and one ticket can be used on buses, trains and the metro. Intercity and local trains run from Porto to destinations across Portugal.

Driving directions. From the airport take the IC1 from the airport towards Porto and head for Braga.
Take the Gondomar/Freixo exit and follow signs to Marginal Ribeira.
