Location. The Hotel Russott is located in Giardini Naxos on the island of Sicily, Italy, two kilometres from Giardini Naxos train station and five kilometres from Taormina. Mount Etna is 20 kilometres away and the city of Messina is 40 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Russott is a three- storey property hanging with vines and set amid verdant tropical gardens overlooking the Bay of Taormina and Mount Etna. A path through the hotel gardens connects to the private beach, which is dotted with sun loungers and parasols. The hotel also offers a seasonal outdoor pool flanked by trees and a wide sun terrace. Other facilities include a hair salon and babysitting services.

The Hotel Russott's Panarea restaurant opens out onto a shaded terrace with views over the bay. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, it serves regional and Italian dishes. The Naxos Bar offers cocktails, Italian ice cream, snacks and Sicilian pastries.

Dried cod is also big in the area, cooked in many different ways, but most typically in a ghiotta with tomato, green olives, capers, celery, pine nuts and raisins.

From Catania Fontanorossa Airport (CTA):
Distance to Hotel Russott is 45 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Buses run directly to Taormina from the airport. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 65 EUR to the hotel. The hotel also offers an airport transport service (surcharge). Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, and Syracuse. The nearest train station is Giardini Naxos, which is two kilometres away. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
