fiogf49gjkf0d The Schlosshotel Buhlerhohe is a country castle hotel dating back to the early 20th Century and set in extensive parkland overlooking the Rhine Valley, nine kilometres from historic Baden-Baden. Spread over five stories, the 90 guestrooms have classic decor with views of the Rhine valley or parkland. All rooms are decorated in neutral colours with antique furnishings and marble bathrooms and feature safes, pay movies, voicemail, complimentary newspapers and wireless Internet.
Guests can dine on contemporary French dishes in the Imperial Restaurant, which affords views of the Black Forest and has live piano music. The Schlossrestaurant serves regional and international dishes and has panoramic windows and a terrace, offering expansive views of the Rhine Valley. Home-made confectionaries and snacks and refreshments are also served in the Espresso Bar. The hotel has a large fresh spring-water swimming pool (20.5 metres long), maintained at a temperature of 28 C. The health spa has a hot tub, steam bath and sauna and offers a range of treatments from thalassotherapy to rose and whey baths. The Max Grundig Clinic offers physical and mental analysis by expert doctors. There is a 60-square metre terrace for sunbathing. Sports fans can play indoor or outdoor tennis or go hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding country. Golf enthusiasts can choose between any of six courses in the vicinity. The hotel's dome- shaped reception hall features classical pillars leading up to a ceiling with ornate stucco work, and has a marble-laid floor and grand piano. Conferences for up to 180 persons can be arranged in any of nine opulently furnished meeting rooms equipped with audio-visual facilities. For larger events the grounds of the Castle Park can be used. Room service is available around the clock and valet parking is complimentary. Mummelsee Lake is 12 kilometres, and the Roman spa at Baden-Baden is 12 kilometres away. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is 120 minutes by car, 170 kilometres from the hotel.

Driving directions: From Frankfurt Airport take the B43 for Wurzburg, then A3/Kassel, A5/Frankfurt and exit at Flugh-Nord, taking the A5/E451 for Basel/Darmstadt, then the A5 for Basel/Karlsruhe. Take the Baden-Baden exit and follow signs to B500 and Schwarzwaldhochstrasse through the tunnel, past Geroldsau and into the forest until the hotel appears on the right. |
