The Shaftesbury Hyde Park Paddington restaurant is bright and modern with chrome details and colourful artwork. A buffet breakfast is served in the morning and a set menu of modern international dishes is available in the evenings, when the bar is also open.

Hyde Park, 700 metres from the hotel, has over 350 acres of parkland where popular activities include running and rollerblading. The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain can be found in the southwest part of the park.

Driving Directions

Getting there. The Heathrow Express train service to Paddington station leaves every 15 minutes and costs around GBP 14 each way. Paddington Station is 150 metres from the hotel. London's black taxi cabs also service Heathrow Airport and cost around GBP 50 to central London. The airport is also on the Underground's Piccadilly line. Guests should change at Earl's Court and take the District line five stops to Paddington. The hotel is served by the Hotelink airport shuttle service which can be booked at reception and provides a door to door service to Heathrow Airport for about 17 GBP per person. All prices subject to change.

Driving directions. From Heathrow Airport, take the A4 towards Chiswick and at the roundabout take the second exit onto the A402 through Turnham Green and onto Goldhawk Road. Continue through Hammersmith following the A402 until Shepherds Bush. Take the A219 at Shepherd's Bush Green towards Notting Hill Gate then take the A402 through Notting Hill Gate and onwards past Holland Park Underground Station. Continue of the A402 through Bayswater and turn left onto the A4209, signposted Paddington. Bear left onto Westbourne Terrace. The Shaftesbury Hyde Park Paddington hotel is number 78 - 82.

The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground (metro) or bus services. The nearest underground stop is Paddington. The hotel lies outside the congestion zone where tolls apply for driving into central London. Although there are parking facilities at the hotel, driving in central London is not recommended. Black taxi cabs can be hailed in the street.
