fiogf49gjkf0d Location. Located where the cobalt waters of the Gulf of Mexico meet the white sandy beaches, the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel welcomes guests to South Padre Island, Texas. This 12-story hotel is less than five miles from the South Padre Island Convention Center and one-half mile from the Schlitterbahn Beach water park. Valley International Airport is 46 miles away.
Hotel Features. The showpiece of the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel is its lush, tropically landscaped, 6,000 square foot outdoor pool with a cascading waterfall. A spacious sundeck surrounds the pool, a children's pool and spa tub, are also featured. Palapa Bar & Grill serves light poolside dining and cocktails. The Beachside Bar & Grill is an ocean-view restaurant that serves International cuisine in a casual setting.
The Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel offers 8,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including nine meeting rooms and pre-function space. The business center offers printing, faxing and photocopying services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the business center.
Guestrooms. The 250 contemporary guestrooms of the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel pamper guests with extra thick plush-top mattresses dressed with triple-sheeting, fleece blankets, thick, richly colored duvets and five goose down feather pillows. Guestroom include compact refrigerators and coffeemakers, cable television with premium channels and balconies that overlook the ocean. In-room safes are available for additional safety. Additional complimentary amenities include weekday newspaper delivery and wireless Internet access.
Expert Tip. Constructed in 1852, the Port Isabel Lighthouse sits less than five miles from the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel and is the only original lighthouse built along the Texas coast to be open to the public. Ascending 75 winding stairs, including three short ladders, the perch sits 50 feet above the ground and offers a spectacular view of South Padre Island, its beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. The lighthouse draws tourists, photographers, historians and more than a few brides and grooms.
Area Construction Notice:
Construction is underway next to the hotel. There is no disruption to hotel services, but there may be some noise disturbance. The estimated date of completion is 2008. This date is subject to change.

Security Bracelet Charge:
A nonrefundable fee of $10 per registered guest will be charged upon check-in for a security bracelet, which allows access to guest areas of the hotel.
Refund Policy:
In the event of early departure or evictions, no refunds of any payments, including damage deposits, will be made.
Visitor Policy:
Each registered guest is allowed to have one (1) visitor on the guest floors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Registered guests must purchase a one-night visitor bracelet for $25 for their guest.
Registration Policy:
All guests must be at least 18 years old, or must present a notarized letter from his/her legal guardian assuming financial responsibility for any property damages caused by the minor's stay. This letter should indicate that the minor holds the Sheraton South Padre Island Beach Hotel and its agents harmless for the minor's well-being and actions while on spring break. Guests planning to use the credit card or credit card number of a non-registered person (such as parent or guardian), must give advance notice to the hotel via a credit card authorization form. Guests must register in person; groups should stay together to expedite check- in. A room-condition checklist must be reviewed, signed, and returned to the front desk within one (1) hour after check-in. The checklist protects against charges for damages guests did not commit.
