Description:

The Steigenberger Inselhotel Konstanz is a former Dominican monastery dating from 1236 and set in verdant parkland. It is located on an island on Lake Constance, eight kilometres from Reichenau Island. The 102 guestrooms, over four floors, feature contemporary decor with patterned fabrics and dark wood furnishings. All come equipped with armchairs, coffee tables, freestanding lamps, satellite television, wireless Internet access, direct-dial phones, safes, bathrobes, slippers and minibars.
The hotel's main Seerestaurant, with panoramic views of the lake, has traditional decor and serves international and regional cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alternatively, guests can sample regional specialties at the Swiss-themed Dominikanerstube. Guests can also enjoy drinks and ales in the traditional decor of the Zeppelin Bar, which was formerly the sacristy of a monastery church, and is open till late, and there is a terrace overlooking the lake, where guests can take afternoon tea. Driving Directions

Trains are available from the airport to Constance train station and take approximately 90 minutes. The station is 500 metres from the hotel. Taxis are also available from the airport, take around one hour, and cost approximately 110 EUR.
Driving directions from the airport: From the airport take the A7 highway in the direction of Kreuzlingen/ Constance. After the entering the town, follow the sign for the Bahnhof (Station). At the station, continue straight for 500 metres, the hotel is on the right.
