fiogf49gjkf0d The Maddonald Bath Spa Hotel in Bath is a former Georgian mansion nestling among tall cedars and formal gardens with elegant ponds and fountains and just half a mile from the historic city centre. Traditional decor and mahogany furniture retain something of the original spirit of the building in the 104 guestrooms, all of which have CD players, satellite television, direct-dial phones, Internet connections and minibars to make our guests stay in Bath more comfortable. Mahogany and marble bathrooms come with bathrobes and slippers.
Guests at the Macdonald Bath Spa can make use of the health club, which incorporates a gym with qualified fitness instructors and a hot tub and sauna for post- workout relaxation. A range of treatments are on offer in the beauty salon and guests can even indulge in a colour change in the hair salon.
The Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel, Bath, has seven acres of formal gardens, complete with ponds and fountains, where guest can stroll. Located in the former ballroom, the main restaurant offers classic English and French dishes. Mediterranean food is served in the light and airy conservatory; afternoon teas in the drawing room; and fine champagnes, vintage Armagnac and Havana cigars in the club-style bar.
Guests may wish to indulge themselves by using the hotel's extensive spa facilities, a service for which the city is famed. The on-site services include six treatment rooms, two of which are dedicated to manicures and pedicures, a relaxation room, a 15-metre indoor pool with spa section, an outdoor pool with sun terrace, sauna, infrared cabin, salt infusion room, aroma steam room, ice room and experiential showers. Signature treatments are provided by BABOR, and there is also a gym where personal trainers can be found. The major sights of the historic city of Bath including the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms and the Abbey are within half a mile of the hotel. The nearest airport is Bristol, which is 20 miles and about a 45 minute drive away.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is currently carrying out extension work to its Leisure Club and adding additional rooms, with work scheduled to continue until May 2006. All regular services will remain open as normal during this period, apart from when detailed below. Please contact the property directly for further information.
November 2005 - public area refurbishment.
Mid-December 2005 - new water treatment spa facilities will be available, including 'infra-red cabin', 'rock sauna', 'experience showers', 'ice room', 'aroma steam room', 'salt infusion room', and hydrotherapy pool. Also, the new gymnasium and five treatment rooms will be open.
Early January to mid March 2006 - swimming pool will be unavailable.
Spring 2006 - bedroom refurbishment.

fiogf49gjkf0d Buses run between the airport and Bristol city centre. Trains run between Bristol's central station and bath - the journey time is about 15 minutes. Taxis are available at the airport. The journey to the hotel will cost around 35 GBP. From the airport, take the M4 and leave at junction 18 for the A46 then the A4. After a mile on the A4 turn left onto the A36 to Warminster. After the pedestrian crossing turn left at the traffic lights and then right at the next traffic lights. The hotel is 100 metres away on the left. |
