Each couple is assigned a personal ambassador who has one simple task: cater to the guests' every comfort. Visitors can soak up the sun on the unspoiled beaches while personal ambassadors deliver cold towels, fruit and chilled beverages. Guests can enjoy complimentary use of personal watersports equipment such as snorkeling gear, boogie boards, windsurfers, kayaks and small sailboats. The House's 32 guest suites are arranged around an open courtyard with a magnificent tropical garden and sparkling pond. Chefs at Daphne's have perfected an Italian menu with a Caribbean accent for seasonal lunches and year-round dinners in an open-air beachfront restaurant. Driving directions from Grantley Adams International Airport: Narrow, unmarked roads and streets, numerous roundabouts, and heavy traffic along certain routes at certain times make driving through Barbados challenging. Guests renting cars should request a detailed map from the airport to the resort. Also, the Elegant Hotels desk at the airport can provide detailed directions.
Getting there: A taxi from Grantley Adams International Airport costs $26-$35 for 1-4 passengers. (Rates are set by the government and subject to change.) Although taxis are readily available, it's best to request a taxi at the Elegant Hotels desk in the airport. Car rentals are available online. Driving is on the left side, British- style.
Getting around: Resort staff call taxis on request. Public buses operate past the resort.
