Location. The Park Central Hotel in the Art Deco district stands across the street from the beach and Lummus Park. The South Beach Express, an electric shuttle, whisks vacationers to various area attractions, including the Miami Beach Convention Center, 14 blocks away.
Hotel Features. The Park Central Hotel offers a classic lobby of pink and green terrazzo, fat-paddle ceiling fans and potted plants. In addition to complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, guests also can enjoy coffee every morning in the lobby of the smoke-free property. A rooftop garden with a whitewashed-wood deck, potted palms and cushioned teak lounge chairs provides additional relaxation space. Expert Tip. Henry Hohauser, one of the foremost architects during the Art Deco period, designed the Park Central Hotel in 1937. Classic Art Deco touches include a vintage car parked outside on Ocean Drive, and black and white Deco-inspired photographs by Gleason Romer.
