From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO): Distance to Hotel Verona is 30 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer for surcharge. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. Termini is 500 metres from Hotel Verona and Cavour metro station is 500 metres in the opposite direction. Taxis to the city centre and to the hotel cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
Driving directions. From Fiumicino Airport, take the A91 towards Rome Centre.
As the road bends to the right, continue as it becomes Via Cristoforo Colombo and then continue on Viale delle Terme di Caracalla.
Take a right at Piazza di Porta Capena onto Via di San Gregorio, following the road round to the left before reaching Colosseo metro.
Turn right at Via degli Annibaldi and right again at Via Cavour and continue to follow this past the metro station before turning right onto Via di Santa Maria Maggiore where the Hotel Verona is located.
