Location. The Hotel Villa De Pasquale is located in Lipari, in the Aeolian Islands, Italy, 300 metres from Marina Lunga Beach and 100 metres from Lipari town centre.
Hotel Features. Situated within a 19th-century pink villa, the Hotel Villa De Pasquale has been refurbished in a modern style. Within the garden, there is a terrace with private swimming pool and hydromassage system. Secure parking is complimentary, and an Internet point is available on site.
There is a bar at the hotel, and a breakfast room serving a complimentary buffet.
Excursions to the islands, fishing trips and boat or moped rental can all be arranged by the hotel. Scuba diving and plane sightseeing are also available nearby.
Guestrooms. Of the 1O guestrooms, eight are doubles, and two are suites. Each is air-conditioned and has its own terrace or balcony with a view of Lipari castle. Decor is typically Sicilian, with wooden furniture, soft colours, and some arched ceilings. All have televisions, minibars, and bathrooms offer showers, bidets, and complimentary toiletries.
Expert Tip. Two of the Aeolian Islands are volcanos. Stromboli is still active, and is the only volcano in the world known to be active throughout recorded history. On the aptly named Volcano Island, you can take a mud bath, and then wash it off in the sea which is warmed by hot gases which bubble up through the Mediterranean waters. Nearby Salina was a location for the film 'Il Postino' and is ideal for walks.

From Catania Airport (CTA):
Distance to The Hotel Villa De Pasquale is 170 kilometres, approximately three hours' drive.
Getting there. The hotel provides transport for a surcharge. Otherwise, take a bus to Milazzo, from where a ferry goes across to Lipari, where the hotel is situated.
Getting around. Lipari island itself has a good bus service, or scooters are available. Boats can be hired for sightseeing, but not for access between islands, for which a professional boat trip is necessary. Some smaller islands are completely accessible by foot, some require scooter.
Driving directions. From Catania Airport, take the A18 to Messina, followed by the A20 toward Palermo.
Exit at Milazzo and follow signs to the port.
Take the ferry to Lipari.
At Lipari, take the Via Tenente M Amendola, then turn left onto the Via Maggiore Filippo Mancuso.
Turn right at Strada Comunale Sal Leonardo - Santa Lucia and stay on this road until you reach the hotel.
