of some kind is the obvious choice in Australia's "Beef Capital", and any of the hotels can oblige. There's a smattering of cafAŠs around the mall, while
Le Bistro
at 152 Quay St (Mon-Sat 6.30pm-late), serves upmarket (and huge) slabs of meat for about $22. A perch at the
Criterion
's bar is recommended for less flamboyant steak and beer, and elbow-to-elbow closeness with a few locals. For
nightlife

on the Mall (Wed-Sun 8pm until late) for disco and frequent
