heads to the river mouth, passing through the barrages which keep saltwater out of the freshwater system, and into the Coorong wetlands (Tues & Sat; 2hr 45min; $26); the Discovery Cruise goes to the dune-covered Younghusband Peninsula where passengers can alight and walk to the Southern Ocean (Mon & Thurs; 4hr; $53.50 or $98 from Adelaide); the Adventure Cruise is a 30km trip right into the national park (Wed & Sun; 6hr; $70 or $114 from Adelaide). Coorong Cruises (tel 08/8555 1133) offers a day-long trip which focuses on bird-watching and looks at Aboriginal sites on the Younghusband Peninsula (Oct to end of June Tues, Thurs & Sun; $75).
