Greyhound Pioneer
buses
from Perth drop passengers at the
Ajana turn-off
on the highway, to be met by a shuttle bus on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. Westrail buses from Perth come right into town on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, returning the following day. The

shopping centre
on Porter Street includes a bakery, supermarket and

, with bank agencies and cash machines at various outlets around town. Suzuki
4WD jeeps
can be rented from Kalbarri Hire Cars (tel 08/9937 1277) on Sutherland Street. Mileage is unlimited in Kalbarri and in the national park, and the drive up River Road at the town's northern end will give you a chance to fiddle with the transmission levers. Other useful information
