| fiogf49gjkf0dTo eat well and inexpensively in Perth, stick to
    Italian
     and
    Asian
     places. Both dominate the
    food courts
, where you can easily get a decent meal for as little as $6. In Northbridge there are the Asian
    Shang Hai
     and
     Pavilion
on James Street, while in the city you'll find the
    Metro
     and the cosmopolitan
    Carillon
off Hay Street Mall. At the other end of the scale, some of the better seafood restaurants may cost you $30 or more per head - still great value.
    Northbridge
, especially around James and Lake streets, is the heart of Perth's cafAŠ and restaurant scene, with over forty establishments crammed into a square kilometre. Except for Sunday and Monday Northbridge is very busy in the evenings, as people wander from place to place, eating (it is also the city's focus for late-night dining), drinking and enjoying themselves.
