Although Bonito is a small town, there are a large number of restaurants catering for the summer tourist trade; out of season, their quality is somewhat variable. Consistently the best are the Pousada Olho d'A?gua and the Restaurante Tapera, Rua Cel. Pilad RebuA? 1961, both serving excellent but rather pricey fish and other dishes in the evening. There are plenty of ice cream parlours on Rua Cel. Pilad RebuA?, while for a quick lunch Pousada Muito Bonito has good home cooking in pleasant surroundings, or try the popular Gula's Restaurante at Rua Cel. Pilad RebuA? 1626, particularly for pizzas or inexpensive comida por kilo lunches. The nearby Restaurante O CasarA?o, on the same street, is quite cheap, has a varied menu, and is equally popular with locals.

As far as bars go, Bar O Pirata, at Rua 29 de Maio, the Taboa Bar, in Rua Cel. Pilad RebuA?, and Restaurante Tapera are all quite lively from about 9pm, but only at weekends do they stay open much beyond midnight.
