fiogf49gjkf0d Natal's
bus system
is easy to master, and in a hot city with hills and scattered beaches it's worth spending a little time getting used to it. At the central
bus station
on PraA§a Augusto Severo, and from
Avenida Rio Branco
, you can get local buses to most of the places you might want to go to: all the buses to the southern beaches, like Areia Preta and Ponta Negra, can be caught from here or the seafront; buses marked "Via Costeira" head along the southern coastal road out to Ponta Negra. Several bus routes run from the centre to the RodoviA?ria, taking at least half an hour and often longer because of their circuitous routes; buses marked "Cidade de EsperanA§a" are the most direct.
Minibuses
, acting as collective taxis, also compete with buses, stopping at all corners en route.
