The Jornal do Brasil and O Globo are Rio's two main newspapers, while the weekly news magazine Veja features a useful Veja Rio insert, listing and reviewing cultural events in the city. The special Tourist Police are located at Avenida AfrA?nio de Melo Franco (opposite the Teatro Casa Grande), Leblon (tel 021/511-5112, 511-5767 & 690-3560); they are very helpful, speak English and efficiently process reports of theft or other incidents.
