fiogf49gjkf0d Several hotels around town host performances of
traditional dance and music
on certain nights of the week. The
Ta Phrom Hotel
puts on a show of Cambodian classical dance on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7pm. Tickets are $5-6. A more upmarket version is staged at the
Grand Hotel d'Angkor,
incorporating dinner and show for $22. For later entertainment there are a handful of tourist/expat bars and the usual Khmer clubs, but on the whole, nightlife in Siem Reap is pretty tame, and most places shut around midnight.
Angkor What?
, one block northwest of Old Market. Quiet, chilled-out bar, good for a relaxing drink. 2pm-late.
Bakheng Nightclub
, night market. The dance floor is packed full with line-dancing Khmer youngsters by 10pm every night.
Liquid Nightclub
, on the river, near Old Market. Futuristic-looking nightclub, completely out of place in provincial Siem Reap. Open 11am-late; happy hour 5-9pm.
Martini Nightclub and Beer Garden
, across the river from Old Market. The beer garden is
the
place to be seen for an evening drink, and to enjoy some live Khmer music. The disco is a bit racier than the others in town.
Zanzy Bar
, Sivatha Street, near night market. Small, popular expat bar, with $1.50 beers and free pool table.
