Four Greyhound buses operate daily from Calgary to the Lethbridge bus terminal (tel 327-1551) at 411-5th St S. Two buses run daily to Fort Macleod, and two to Medicine Hat and the US border for connections to Great Falls and Helena in Montana. The tourist office is at 2805 Scenic Drive at the corner of Hwy 4 and Hwy 5 (summer daily 9am-8pm; winter Mon-Sat 9am-5pm; tel 320-1222 or 1-800/661-1222 from western Canada and northwestern US).

Most of the city's motels are on a single strip, Mayor Macgrath Drive; the top-of-the-pile Sandman Hotel Lethbridge , at no. 421 (tel 328-1111 or 1-800/726-3626; $80-100), and the less expensive Chinook Motel , at no. 1303 (tel 328-0555 or 1-800/791-8488; $60-80), are typical. Downtown the best value is the Days Inn , 100 3rd Ave S (tel 327-6000 or 1-800/661-8085; $60-80). The Henderson Lake Campgrounds (tel 328-5452; $14; May-Oct) are near Henderson Lake on 7th Avenue South alongside the Nikka Yuko Centennial Gardens in Henderson Lake Park. The best downtown eating is to be found in the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel at 320 Scenic Drive (tel 328-1123 or 1-800/661-1232), which boasts Anton's , an upmarket restaurant with modern American food, and the cheaper but pleasant and popular Garden Cafe . For downtown coffee and snacks, make for The Penny Coffee House , 331 5th St S.
