 fiogf49gjkf0d The
    eating and drinking
scene has improved enormously in the last decade, but the city is still pretty dead at night. The most popular cafe around is the Italian-run
    Adria
, on Masarykova 31, which serves great ice cream and pizzas, but if you want to sit outside and sup beer Czech-style, try
     Spalicek
, at the top of Zelny trh, which has tables outside in summer and lashings of Gambrinus beer from Plzen, or the replica functionalist cafe,
    Zemanova kavarna
, near the Janaaek Theatre. The micro-brewery (and pension),
     Pegas
, on Jakubska, is deservedly popular, but you could swing by
    Hlidka
, up in the Spilberk castle or
     Sanghai
    , Pekarska 42, a decent first-floor Chinese restaurant.
    Internet cafes
include Internetova kavarna mladych at Josefksa 15 (daily 10am-5.30pm; tel 05/4221 1677) and Internet Club at Kabatnikova (daily 10am-11.30pm; tel 05/41245091).
