Israel's number one holiday resort,
EILAT
combines reefs and beaches with upfront hedonism and hustle. Thieving is rife and sleeping on the beaches can be risky, so it's advisable to find a proper bed (almost impossible during Passover and other major Jewish holidays). There are lots of
hostels
near the bus station.
Buses to Jerusalem
leave at 7am, 10am, 2pm and 5pm; on Fridays the last is at 2pm. Unless you've reserved a seat you'll probably have to stand in the aisle. Other useful information
