Ferries
dock within a few minutes' walk of the town centre. The
gare SNCF
is a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal, down boulevard Diderot then left down boulevard Voltaire. If you arrive by
hovercraft
, which docks a little further out, you'll be met by a free shuttle
bus

The
tourist office
(July & Aug Mon-Sat 9am-7pm, Sun 10am-12.30pm & 2.30-5pm; Sept-June Mon-Sat 9am-12.30pm & 1.30-6pm, Sun 10am-12.30pm & 2.30-5pm; tel 03.21.31.68.38, fax 03.21.33.81.09) is at Building B, quai Gambetta, across the bridge from the ferry terminal, and can supply a mass of information and advise on availability of rooms - which, in summer, get taken early.
