The hub of Le Mans today is the place de la RAİpublique , with its assortment of Belle A?poque facades, fountains and more modern office blocks. Beneath the square in the underground shopping centre is the city bus terminal ; buses #3, #5 and #16 run between here and the gare SNCF via avenue GAİnAİral-Leclerc, where the gare routiA?re is located. From place de la RAİpublique, rue Bolton leads east into rue de l'A?toile, where you'll find the tourist office (Mon-Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 10am-noon, July & Aug also Sun 2-6pm; tel 02.43.28.17.22, fax 02.43.23.37.19) in a turreted seventeenth-century building on the corner with avenue de la PrAİfecture. Bikes can be rented from Top Team, on place St-Pierre in the old town, or from MAİtayer Loisirs, 73 av Jean-JaurA?s (the continuation of rue Nationale).
