Strasbourg usually has lots going on. In summer, pick up the free Saison d'A?tA©listings leaflet or the free magazineSpectacles A  Strasbourg ( www.spectacles-strasbourg.presse.fr ), with entertainment info and practical listings, both available from the tourist office. If you're here during university term-time, you might want to check the noticeboards at the university as well. Free concerts are held regularly in the Parc des Contades and Parc de l'Orangerie, which also boasts a 24-lane bowling alley. The best of the annual festivals starts with music from around the world in mid-June, followed by jazz in July, and contemporary world music in mid-September and early October. In addition, there's Les Nuits de Strasbourg , a firework, light and music display at the Ponts Couverts during July and August; and, on July 14, a fireworks display and street entertainment. At the MarchA© de NoA«l (end Nov to Dec 24), an annual event for over 400 years, you can buy tree decorations, gifts, crafts, sweets and Alsatian Christmas cookies, bredele .
