All these, except Christl and BA?rger-Palais , have restaurants , which rank as the best in town; that of Der Platengarten also has the benefit of a beer garden. Another popular eatery with the same facility is Zum Mohren , Pfarrstr. 9.

A number of festivals take place in Ansbach, of which the best known is the Bach-Woche , which is held in the two civic churches at the end of July in even-numbered years. The Ansbacher Rokokospiele are period plays, music and dance events performed in the Residenzschloss and the local parks in late June and early July each year, while in early August various artistic events based around the story of the mysterious foundling are enacted under the title of the Kaspar-Hauser-Festspiele . Held every four years, the Heimatfest is a grand occasion where eighteenth-century music and dance play the most important part, but there's also a fair with plenty of regional delicacies.
