The
tourist information
office (Mon-Sat 9am-5pm; tel 022/4206644) is on the
alun-alun
("town square"). The two Golden Megacorp moneychangers, at Jl Juanda 89 opposite the Telkom building and at Jl Otista 180, have excellent rates. The GPO is at Jl Asia-Afrika 49 at the corner of Jalan Banceuy (Mon-Sat 8am-9pm), and has the best Internet connection in town (Rp1900 for 15min; Rp125 per minute thereafter), while the main Telkom office is on Jalan Lembong (24hr). There is a 24hr clinic with English-speaking doctors at Jl Cihampelas 161. Garuda's airline offices are inside the
Hotel Preangher Aerowista
at Jl Asia-Afrika 81; Merpati is at Jl Kebonjali 62, and the Bouraq office is at Jl Naripan 44. Other useful information
