Kinsale has the complement of convivial bars that you might expect in an historic town turned tourist centre and the place is so compact that most of them are within a couple of minutes' walk of each other. The Grey Hound , just off Market Square, is especially appealing and has a quaint old interior which originally came from England. The Shanakee in nearby Market Street, The Lord Kinsale on Market Quay and The Tap Tavern on Guardswell are all worth calling in if you are looking for music. The Spaniards pub in Scilly, a mile away, is a welcoming bar which also has plenty of live sessions - the walk out there is a pleasant one along a minor road that dips down beside the shoreline. Acton's Hotel , Pier Road, usually has live jazz on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times; it makes sense to call into the very helpful tourist office to check out what else is on around town.
