The nearest beach is north of the city; take bus #1 from Teatro Petruzzelli to Palese/Santo Spirito. To the south, there are beaches at Torre a Mare and San Giorgio - both reached on bus #12 from Stazione Centrale or #12 from Teatro Petruzzelli.
