Banks The main banks have branches city-wide including: Bank of Nova Scotia at 2 Knutsford Blvd, 6 Oxford Rd and 125-127 Old Hope Rd; Citizen's Bank at the Sovereign Centre, 17 Dominica Drive and 15A Old Hope Rd; National Commercial Bank at 32 Trafalgar Rd, 133 Old Hope Rd and 37 Duke St. Most of those uptown have ATMs. Embassies Almost all of the embassies and consulates are based in New Kingston. They include the British High Commission, 28 Trafalgar Rd (tel 876/929-6915 or 7049); the American Embassy, 16 Oxford Rd (non-emergency tel 876/935-6042, emergency 935-6044, after-hours emergency 926-6440); the Canadian High Commission, 3 West Kings House Rd (tel 876/926-1500). Hospitals Kingston's public hospitals are the University Hospital at Mona (tel 876/927-1620) and the Kingston Public Hospital downtown on North Street (tel 876/922-0210). There are a number of private hospitals in New Kingston, including Medical Associates, 18 Tangerine Place (tel 876/926-1400) and Andrews Memorial, 27 Hope Rd (tel 876/926-7401).
