Around Obiya-machi arcade is the best area for
eating and drinking
in Kochi, although on Wednesday you'll find several places closed. There are also many cheap
yatai
(street stalls), serving

gyoza
and beer around town - a good location on a balmy night is beside the Enokuchi-gawa near the Bowl Jumbo centre. The top floor of the Seibu department store, next to the Harimaya-bashi, has a range of restaurants with picture menus and plastic-food window displays. If you are looking for a cheap pick-me-up,
