centres with English-speaking staff; the most convenient, but also the busiest, is in the underground concourse outside the east exit of
Yokohama Station
(daily 10am-6pm; tel 045/441-7300). Otherwise, try the booth immediately outside
Sakuragicho
Station's east entrance (daily 9am-6pm; Aug until 8pm; tel 045/211-0111), or the harbourfront
Sanbo Centre
east of Kannai Station (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; tel 045/641-4759). If you're stuck in
Shin-Yokohama Station
, there's an office under the Shinkansen tracks on the northwest side of the main concourse (daily 10am-1pm & 2-6pm; tel 045/473-2895). All these places provide free
city maps
and brochures, including the useful
Yokohama City Guide
, and can help with hotel reservations. While there's no official information desk at
YCAT
, some staff there speak English and will help with basic enquiries. Other useful information
