Banks and exchange There's an ATM, and the best exchange rates, at Bancomer (cheques cashed 8.30am-noon) on LA©zaro CA©rdenas at Hidalgo; after hours, several casas de cambio (one by Giggling Marlin ) offer halfway decent rates until 11pm.

Internet access and phones A  Cabomix , on Matamoros at NiA±os HA©roes, has the best rates in town and also has phones (including internet phone services); there are also several small internet places near the old bus station at Zaragoza and 16 de Septiembre, the best of which Is Centro de Capacitacion en Computacion . There are also a number of good but expensive internet providers along the strip, including Internet Services on Plaza Nautica.

Post office On LA©zaro CA©rdenas, east of the marina (Mon-Fri 9am-6pm).

Tours and activities Land's End Divers (tel 1/143-2200, www.mexonline.com/landsend.htm ), at A-5 in the marina, have good rates for their dive packages. Ecological snorkelling adventures are offered by Cabo Expeditions (tel 1/143-2700, caboexp@cabonet.mx ) in the Plaza Las Glorias hotel on the marina, offers 3hr boat tours to several beaches (US$35 per person). Pisces Fleet (tel 1/143-1288, www.piscessportfishing.com ), in the marina, run marlin-fishing trips (US$60-100 per person). Solmar Fleet (tel 1/143-3535), in the Solmar Suites hotel, is an equally established fishing fleet and has similar rates. Rancho Collins (tel 1/143-3652), near Playa Medano, east of Billygan's Island , hire out horses at about US$35 per hour.
