The most central place to pick up maps and information is at the
municipal tourist office
, conveniently located in the underpass at C Central Nte and Av 2 Nte Ote; unfortunately opening hours are erratic. The Chiapas state
tourist office
is a good way west of the zA?calo, across from the
Hotel Bonampak
in the Edificio Plaza de las Instituciones at Blvd Belisario DomAnguez 950 (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm & 6-9pm; tel 9/613-9396), but the staff have a good selection of maps and leaflets about all Chiapas' attractions. You can obtain
topographic maps
of the state from the Hacienda and INEGI offices (government departments), on the fourth floor,
Edificio Plaza
