The city has two
train stations
- "Den Haag HS" (short for Hollands Spoor) and about 1km to the north "Den Haag CS" (Centraal Station). Trains stop at one or the other and sometimes both; the latter is the more convenient, being next to the

Accommodation
can be quite expensive. The VVV has a small stock of private rooms (?10-15/$16-24/€18-27), or there's a cluster of seedy but reasonably priced hotels just outside Den Haag HS station: the cheapest is

SCHEVENINGEN
, where hotels are more plentiful and a little cheaper; it's a short ride on tram #1/#7/#9 from Den Haag CS, or tram #8/#11 from Den Haag HS. In Scheveningen, try

eat
around the town centre:

, Torenstraat 138, north of Grote Kerk, has snacks and full meals;

, Prinsestraat 13. There are several options on the streets around Denneweg and Frederikstraat, just north of Lange Voorhout, amongst them the popular vegetarian
